Block printing is one of the earliest and simplest forms of textile printing. The earliest surviving examples from China date to before 220 AD.This process involves sketching and carving a design into a block of wood which is then hand carved with immense precision. This block is then stamped on fabric with the help of an ink or dye with repetition to create beautiful designs and patterns.
