Bagru Block Prints -
Bagru Block Printing is a traditional technique done by using natural colors. It is a traditional craft practiced by the “Chippa” community in the remotest areas of Rajasthan mainly reside in Bagru Village. It is generally done on bluish indigo background along with excellent prints of blocks. In this village, there are two kinds or prints which are practised on a larger scale which includes Dabru prints and seyali-bagru prints. The Bagru printed fabrics are known for their characteristic black and yellowish ochre/cream colour companiations. Dabru prints, on the other hand, are created using special resist techniques.The patterns and motifs predominant in traditional Bagru prints were geometrical but were combined with bird, animal, and floral forms to create beautiful designs.
