Where the Sanganeri Prints are done on a white background, there, the Bagru Prints are essentially done on a background of red and black. Sanganeri printing style -
Sanganer block printing is very special and interesting terminology which uses the natural colors to print on fabric in many different styles. Finesse of flower-petal designs, curves, and delicacy are the prime specialities of Sanganer prints. Many different types of floral patterns are imprinted on the fabric. Probably there are many Sanganeri designs that resemble the varied variety of flowers. In Sanganer style of printing the block prints contain dark shades, while in Bagru one can find reddish tinge in the textiles.Traditionally motifs printed at Bagru beholds thick border lines as compared to that of Sanganer where sombre colours and fine lines, intricate detailing are practiced. Sanganer motifs are based on nature, while the motifs of Bagru are more often geometric.
